When our original closing agent had a family emergency we were canceled on last minute without a phone call or a reschedule. When PENNYMAC heard they immediately got me someone else who was able to still help us close in time and do everything necessary for our refinance. Very thankful we were still able to refinance on time and had someone there to help answer all our questions.

The entire process took nearly 5 months, Sumayyah rarely contacted me and when she did it was to say that everything was in and fine, and it WASN'T fine. Then sends notices urgently that stuff was not completed. When it had been completed months earlier. My wage stubs "expired" 3 times I believed because the process took so long. I have refinanced several times and this was hands down the worst refy experience we have ever had. We had to contact the original PennyMac contact Mason to actually get anything done.

I had no problems with PennyMac personnel. I had an issue with the appraisal of my home. The appraiser didn't make true statements on the appraisal. She said we had not made any improvements to our home from the time it was and that was not true. We had a new roof put on in 2018. Also, she didn't note that we had a microwave , and seemed in a rush to get our appraisal over with. She had somewhere else she needed to be. The photos of our home were very unflattering.
