There were some days that I don’t hear anything from them. But some days they called and said I missed some documents which I already submitted to them. They don’t even take a look at the file to verify if it’s there before they contact me. Only the time they were very nice and on top of thing is when I still shopping for rate, haven’t decide which bank I will chose. After I signed that I will go with PennyMac, things change. They don’t need to be nice anymore.

Great experience overall. Only thing I didn't care for was the request for a letter stating a break in work history for my wife when she was in Grad school. I asked why it was required and no one could give me a reason. We have multiple loans through PennyMac and this seemed odd. We eventually just submitted the letter to keep the process moving but no one ever gave me a reason why it was needed.

Sara had such a great attitude and explained the process to me. She was also gracious and kind on the phone, and she epitomizes how customer service should be done. I am very happy that I closed the loan in time before rates went up!
