Its a great experience
Closing had to get re scheduled three different occasions I believe it was. Other than that, great experience.
Communication is vital and there was more than one occasion that it was difficult. Messages were not returned and attempts to speak to any other individual led to the same voicemail box over and over again. It also would seem that folks were not familiar with the VA loan process and we went back and forth between cleared for closing and not. Not until a call to a supervisor did we get it sorted out.
My Mortgage Loan Originator Earl Nagaran provided excellent service and communicated the entire loan process. He was alway prompt with assisting and answering my questions when my emails sent to the MAC Team mailbox went unanswered. Updated Closing Disclosure was never sent to me after numerous requests; email him the morning of closing and he provided the data. My great rating was only provided because of Earl outstanding customer service and keeping the process on track to closing.
The overall time frame was months overdue. I don't blame the agent. I think that Nick was working very hard, and he was very responsive in email. But something glitched up this process into extra innings. As a result, I paid at least $2k over the period of about 4 months for previous loan than I would have. Repeated requests for updated bank documents over the extended time frame doesn't speak well of PennyMac dedication to meeting customer needs.
