Escrow was supposed to be included in my loan and it was not included. I caught it before closing was scheduled and it was supposed to have been corrected. It never got corrected. At closing I tried contacting my rep and got no response. I left voicemails and emailed and got no response. I left a voicemail and emailed her and her supervisor and got no response. Closing rep said we could revise before she submitted docs and still no response from PennyMac. I now have a mortgage with no escrow.
It was great working with Jamie and Gabriel to complete my refinance. It was very clear and there were no surprises or bs.
Jamie and the PennyMac finance team made the refinance process easy. He contacted me weekly with updates. I would recommend Jamie and PennyMac to anyone looking for a mortgage.
Easy and seamless
It seems I have had trouble getting into my account since this process.
I have a rental property with a first and second mortgage. I have no idea why, but SunTrust put the condo address on one of the mortgages and the condo complex address on the other one. I literally had to explain this a dozen times to multiple different people. I was told three separate times that I was ready to close only to be told that was a mistake because the above referenced issue hadn't been clarified. I understand it's confusing, but once explained once, that should've been it.
I realize that many, many people are refinancing now, but I chose to go with PennyMac because my current mortgage was with them and I figured the process would be more efficient. I have refinanced probably 6 times over the years, and this refinancing took longer than any other I've done. Because it took so long, I had to resubmit banking documents and pay stubs because they were "dated" by the time they got to them. All in all, I was able to refinance, and it's done.
My Loan Officer was great to work with. She always was their to field my questions and if she wasn't available when I called she got back to me in a timely fashion. It may have taken a little longer than we originally expected to finalize, but Brittany always kept the communication open and gave me updates weekly if not more often. Overall the process went smoothly and efficiently
