Friendly and professional team was assigned to my loan. I had no issues. There was frequent communication so that made the process easy.
The process was quick, easy and professional throughout every step. There were no issues to overcome and everything was clearly stated.
I was happy with the parameters of my load. I got everything I needed out of my refinance. But, the process started in September and did not finish until December. It was extremely stressful trying to manage money not knowing when my refinance was going to finish. I hope to never have to work with PennyMac in the future under this timeline, unless it can be communicated better. You guys did a great job with the loan itself but the stress around the 12 week process was way more than I expected.
We were told that we would not have to pay any money for closing. When the person came to our house we were then told that we would have to pay $161.00 for closing. The person had no details about why we had to pay this cost. He could not provide me with any details about how to pay the closing cost or why we had to even pay this fee $161.00. My husband is a veteran and the last time we refinanced with your company we did not have to pay anything.
I received great customer service and Penny Mac made this process very easy. I am so glad I stayed with Penny Mac to refinance my loan.

My expedited refinance process was quick and painless. There was a 2 day rescheduling of the closing date, but that was due to the Asset Review department being a day or so behind. Not surprising since so many people are choosing to refinance. This was an answer to prayer! Thanks PennyMac!!!
Several issues. A direct line of communication. A portal that will accept large documents. My tax documents were 30 pages, and too large for your portal to accept. I was forced to fax at $32.00. It's not the cost....it's the inconvenience. Several documents were requested multiple times. My loan contact person was slow to respond and offered little information. I have multiple other refi's and home purchases recently with other companies, all have gone well but this one with PennyMac.
