Our closing was delayed three or four times. Three separate notary officials called and said they did not have our documents on the days of our appointments. The notary finally showed up without a mask, only a face shield. I only found out later that this is "not" proper protocol. I also found out during our signing that we were buying down the interest rate (paying for points?). The doc packet left for us has information cut off the bottom of pages. Probably what most affected the negative side of my review was that I was told in both emails and in my closing that I would have no payments on mortgage in December or January. Sure enough, December PennyMac sucked a payment out of my checking account. The reason I stayed with PennyMac is I felt there would be good communication between the two mortgages, since it is the same company. Excellent service
I had to keep checking on the loan when there were issues with documents like incorrect property taxes and incorrect fees listed. No call no show closing which made us have to track down everyone & do extra work. Issues: -Timely responses to emails about document errors (over 48hrs sometimes) -Timely response to voice messages about document errors (over 48hrs sometimes) -Loan officer did not address all of my questions which required me to respond again to check on issues with documents
Great communications and explanation of the processes. We closed in less then 45 days from day one! The stream line process was awesome!

Everything was fine but 2 closings never happened, miscommunication from title co to loan processor. Finally closed on Dec 7 2020
