We have been with Pennymac for the past 3 years and refinanced with them for a lower intrest rate. We would recommend anyone looking to purchase or refinance a home to at least talk to Pennymac. We have never had any issues with them.
Everything went smooth just as I wad told.
Easy refi process. The only frustrating aspect was talking to 6 different people. Other than that it was smooth and convenient!
I started this process in June 2020 and finally close Dec 2020. That is way to long.
Closing documents were not received prior to the closing date. Did not receive a hard copy of the closing documents that were being signed at the closing date. Scanned copied later sent by the notary person but not legible. Has been asking for a hard copy but not received yet.
Process took a lot longer than I was told in the beginning. I was told early Novemer. We closed on December 3rd. We were supposed to close on November 26th, but no one showed up. It had been cancelled last minute without notice. I couldn't get ahold of anyone for a few hours. I thought I had been scammed. Finally talked to Kelly. Said she would try to get me a credit for the inconvenience. Since closing got pushed back so did my new, lower payment. Notary didn't give me an option for direct dep
Being the Corona virus year it has been the overall experience was great considering the fact none of us had done this before and it was pulled off smoothly
This was a very simple process because of the great service.
I was very disappointed with the PennyMac process in that I started this process with Laurie Baker on 10 September 2020 and finally closed on 3 December 2020 - a total of 84 days for refinancing an existing loan with PennyMac. I have another house in Alaska financed through Wells Fargo and refinanced it a few years ago in 31 days. I was very disappointed in the delays, constant barrage of forms to sign and then re-sign again because of the delays and the number of times closing was rescheduled
