George was fantastic and the best person I dealt with at PennyMac. However, I went through 2 other loan officers (not sure if that's the right term) before I got to George. Again, George was great but the other two were awful with communication and I was not able to get ahold of them when needed. They also made this process difficult to understand.
My refinance process was quick and very easy. What a great team!
Sandra went above and beyond to help me through the process. She was very friendly and always happy to answer my questions. We couldnt be happier with the service we received. Thank you Sandra!
It was hard to get in touch with Sandra by phone and when I tried to reach the number given for the supervisor for answers needed quickly, it was always busy. I was frustrated by having to produce documents right before closing that could have be produced much earlier in the process if they had been requested sooner. It was very stressful the week of closing and I feel that could have been avoided if the underwriter had requested the documents sooner.
Overall great experience. They were available 24/7 and answered every question. I talked to 3 different people during the process, and all were very nice and professional.
Simply listening would have helped
My experience with Jason C, which was the first person I talked to, was horrible. Because I already had a loan with PennyMac, Jason said they would lower my interest rate and they just needed a few documents to verify income and employment. Then it ended up turning into a full blown refinance. I was very upset and ended up talking to David R. and was told that Jason had misspoke. No apology and no accountability. It was fine. Documents were requested three or four times after sending each time which delayed the closing process and in turn caused us to close later than we needed to so we had to pay more closing costs than we feel like we should have been responsible for. Overall it was a nice working with them. Just had a hiccup at the end because of the delay.
