My first loan application went very smooth front beginning to end. The team always kept me informed. I’m still waiting for my second application to clear but I imagine it will be just as smooth.

Very good experience, would not say great, Earl an Laurin were excellent to work with. They answered questions and explained the process very well. Overall the process could have been more timely. As we were already PennyMac customers this didn’t seem to be taken into consideration for the approval process. Document request could be improved, at one instance we were not aware of document request in the queue awaiting our action, thus delay? The closing process went very well.
There were several times it took awhile to get responses.
Everyone at Penny Mac was helpful, professional and courteous.
Regina Lal has been great to work with during the application and approval process. Notwithstanding our loan took 3.5 months to close, Regina’s prompt and complete answers to our questions were very important to our successful refinance. If not for her, we might not have had the patience to wait for the extended loan approval process to come up a successful close. Thanks Regina!
What would have made this more pleasent of an experience is having more of a direct line to my home loan specialist to where it doesn't take over 24 hrs for them to get back to you a direct email for them not to mymac team more communication if the specialist is going to be out sick and having the specialist and loan office out of the same area and having them have better communications. Possibly a different number for people that are at the closing process so can get answers to what is going on
