The last minute demands prior to closing were completely unnecessary... all of it could have been easily taken care of in the 2 weeks before... earlier communication with the underwriter would have eliminated all the drama at the end. Consistent miscommunication and lack of responses from the our first loan officer (Eradinay?) really fueled all unnecessary problems.
The only pleasant part was Tyra my processor who worked hard to make right all the things that went wrong. The vendor/notary person was rude. The process was unnaturally long due to a lack of communication and proper notation from the loan officer to processor.
You are and continue to be an unorganized company. Even in previous times one person says one thing and another says something completely different. I asked in the beginning what would my out of pocket costs be for closing probably $0 was the answer I received. The docs said something like $5000. Spoke with Edna she said it would be $974. And the day of signing I get a call saying it went up again. Had to get off the phone with her and call my wife to update the amount on the check.
Loan process was easy and communication was good. Took a month longer to close though.
Process is way too long. Same Documents are requested over and over because by the time the process starts, the documents “expire.” Also, my loan was canceled without notifying me and had to begin the process from scratch.
The first notary assigned was a jerk. He failed to obtain the documents and caused the close to roll to the first of the next month. Nancy did a great job working on rescheduling and getting a new notary.
Anna was a refined professional in assisting me in obtaining my mortage loan. She was friendly and made me comfortable as I went through the loan process. I would recommend Anna and Penny Mac to anyone seeking a mortage loan
Nichole was the only bright spot in an otherwise terrible experience. Underwriting process was the worst in my 30 years of being a property owner/real estate professional. I've done countless loans and refinances and this was the longest and most drawn out ever. Thumbs down.
It would have been great - we just had some glitches where we had to send multiple documents over and over and since these were sensitive documents, once we uploaded them, we deleted them but the request would come again and we would have to log into systems to retrieve them over again. I will say our point of contact was very helpful and apologized for the inconvenience. We also had inaccurate documents and it took a while to resolve. So we had the glitches but overall, they were handled well
