Communication was the works I have ever had in the closing week.
I constantly received requests for the same docs. I'd upload them to the website but often, my contact didn't get it. My contact was replaced 3-4 times. If I sent it by email, the next contact didn't have access to it. Communication was horrible. I received 3 requests for insurance certificate, which I immediately uploaded each time. Finally I called and my contact tells me I keep getting the request b/c the policy on the certificate had expired. No one bothered to reach out to explain.
They made my home purchase smooth and easy. This the third home they have financed for me.
Hire people to answer your phones. If you offer a service such as mortgage assumption, HAVE AN ACTUAL TRANSFER NUMBER! After 5+ hours of being on the phone and a complaint to a federal bureau, i was able to START the process of removing someone from a loan. Only one person was honest with me and told me antransfer was pointless as there was no such thing as a transfer to an assumptions dep or anything remotely similar.
This is NOT Patrick Peavy or William Long's fault, but the initial closing statement had several problems with it. That in and of itself is no big deal. The problem is rather than the 24 - 48 hours it should have taken to get the problems fixed, it was weeks before I received a revised closing disclosure. I am highly confident that was not due to any delay on Patrick or William's part, so I am NOT complaining about THEM. The turn around should have been much faster.
Communication from My Team was pretty much only one way...they would notify me of the random progress and general information, but when I would follow up or reach out with any questions, I didn't hear anything back.
Information about my refinance was communicated to me in a concise and understandable way so there were no unpleasant surprises. Great professional team.
