PennyMac was very easy to work with and spelled out all the details of my loan clearly and accurately. Both the loan servicer and originator were helpful and easy to work with. There were no hidden costs, fees, or expenses slipped in. The rate was extremely competitive. I would use them again.
My’Esha was great. The whole process took longer than we expected but she kept us up to date and was on top of it the whole time.

If someone would have assumed the responsibilities of the team leader while he was out for an extended period. Due to his absence it caused a huge lack of communication and I was about to walk and find someone else to secure my loan with. Not sure why when you start the process of Refinancing your current loan you have no connection to the actual company anymore and only get to contact the team leader of the loan process. This makes for poor customer service and bad reviews.

Please be consistent with your terms: the original loan officer (Neal) and I were agreed with one figure of closing costs and the next one (David) were revising the figures to another numbers. The rate lock is not transparency to us since rate have been dropping and the rate was not revised accordingly. Please have all verbal communications documented/transcribed in writings so we will not be in this situation in the future. This is not a good way to treat your long-time (6-yrs +) customer.
The time frame is all really. It took 2 months longer to close than what was said to us in the beginning processes. When we got a chance to finally communicate about things it started going a bit faster. When we spoke to anyone from the penny mac team by phone they where very nice and pleasant to speak with. That made the process better on our end. We do thank the team for there hard work in getting this done for us.
