Dear PennyMac, I had the pleasure of working with Ryan Morrison and the team at PannyMac. I called about an unrelated issue that was solved. Doing so I was forwarded to the refinance department that ended up saving me a lot of money. I appreciate how fast, accurate, simple, and professional everyone at PennyMac was to me. I'm so glad I contacted Penny Mac to discuss refinancing my home at a lower interest rate. The process was not stressful and the loan officer stayed in contact on a weekly basis, keeping me posted on all aspects of the refinance. Very professional and pleasant staff.
Clear instructions, and timely closing even with a global pandemic. Great all around.
Underwriting was horrible. Lack of communication with the loan processor and the loan officer was detrimental to this refinancing event. Patrick Peavy, however, was outstanding. He was caught between underwriting and me. This was one of the worst experiences I've had closing as it was over 2 months late from the original date. This is doubly bad inasmuch as I had my loan with PennyMac and was refinancing an existing loan. Just ok is because of Patrick. without him, the rating would have been poor!
Overall, a good experience. I appreciated the regular updates on the status of my loan. In addition, my questions were promptly and clearly addressed!
