Communication was difficult
Both Ceista and Naviz were truly very helpful from start to finish of this process. They were always there to answer and explain things and to guide me in the right direction. I really enjoyed working with both of them. Ceista is very friendly and always available. High marks for both!!
Just felt like I had to jump through hoops to verify my info. Closing was pushed a few weeks for reasons I do not know and I had to submit more recent paystubs and bank acct statements even though it was clear I have more than enough money to pay my mortgage. Also sometimes I had issues uploading my docs to the site. Just felt like I had to constantly check to see what else was needed from the team.
Clear communication during this pandemic
The initial loan officer was responsive and very efficient. Once the loan moved to phase 2 and then closing the customer service and response changed. 3-4 calls with messages left and no call back. Documents were incorrect at closing. During closing I made 4-5 phone calls and could never talk with a person. Attempted to contact the “manager” whose name and number was on the voicemail and that person doesn’t even seem to be at Penny Mac. Sent emails during and after closing with NO RESPONSE.

Denny's service was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT, however when Nick Hagan stepped in, the level of service was immediately at the level I expected. Keeping this as brief as possible: - Denny's communication skills: 1 out of 10. Drops the ball, does not see issues thru competion, caused my closing to delayed - Denny does not acknowledge his faults, rather lies. He insisted I told him I was "unemployed" which is FALSE. I told him I changed jobs to take a promotion. The phone recording can be heard.
PennyMac was consistently contacting me with updates on the loan application and closing process. Anytime that I had questions, I received an answer promptly and fully.
