We had to check in multiple times to ask about our closing date. At one point our signing was scheduled and cancelled but the notary was not told and still showed up at our house. We were also told in an email that it was good we checked in because she thought everything was done. Two weeks later we finally signed. The process took 5 months.
Application process and ability to upload documents. Would suggest being able to see uploaded documents after upload to verify information.
1) Provide an accurate estimate of Appraisal. 2) Hire appraisers that know their job. He listed the WRONG number of bedrooms. (I have been in RE for most of my life; and can quote ALL requirements to classify a bedroom). 3) Provide better (OR ANY) options for when someone, for whom you made me pay, makes a blatant and gross mistake. After spending many many weeks and tons of money -- the ONLY option I was provided by PennyMac Team was to back out and cancel the refi. -SAD

This was the worst experience I have ever had. I was contacted continuously over the summer to refi but you are clearly understaffed. Emails were rarely replied to and the phone number went to a line that didn’t answer and couldn’t leave a message. Not only will I not recommend your firm I will go out of my way to tell people how horrible the experience was.
I understand the current situation on COVID that too with multiple applications that are getting processed. Since multiple teams are involved right from application creation, processing, closing etc, there were delays in communication and also getting clarification was also delayed much.
The refinance process took longer than expected. When we finally were able to make and confirm an appointment to sign the closing disclosures, it was cancelled the day before. It isn’t easy for my husband to request a day off. It was such an inconvenience. We were given a credit back, but it’s just difficult to see past this issue.
