I really did not have to do anything. Everyone involved took care of all the paperwork and scheduled any meetings. All I had to do was meet the Notary at my house and sign the X spots and dates on the papers. It could not have been easier. I am well satisfied.

The process for refinancing went pretty smooth. A friend of mine started a conventional refinance with his current loan holder weeks before I started my USDA refinance with PennyMac and I was able to close my loan weeks sooner. The home loan specialist who was working with me was knowledgeable and attentive. The process was straight forward and simple. I received an update call or email each week to let me know where everything was at. Overall it was good experience and I would recommend them.

Chris was awesome person to work with. He would let us know what all we needed to do and he would call every week or every new update to let us know what going on :).

Better communication and loan status throughout process. Promises made by loan officer not followed through by processor, don’t ask for documents over and over again after already provided multiple times. Estimate was told would be highest, but was actually 3,000 more.

Weeks went by without communication. At one point we thought this process might be a scam because I could not get anyone to answer the phone or call me back. Phone numbers on recordings were incorrect. Disclosures and documents on line were repeatedly incorrect and had to be sent and signed again. Closing had to be done twice as the first had the wrong calculations. Additional money had to be collected. Honestly, I am glad this is finally finished but this was amateur refinance 101.

1) Too long from 8/11 to 10/30, ridiculous because we were refinancing with Penny Mac previous loan. 2) Loan processor never prepared, long delays in answering questions. 3) Mistakes made which delayed everything and changed numbers dramatically.
