I want to make it clear that this review is for the overall experience with PennyMac, not Brianna Koke specifically. Brianna Koke was always nice and apologetic and seemed to be doing the best she could and I do not know where all the miscommunication and disorganization was coming from. Our closing was late, then paperwork was missing lines and needed to be resigned and no one seemed to be communicating about what was needed and who was taking care of it and when. It was very frustrating.

We had NO proactive communication what-so-ever. We were constantly wondering what was going on and had to call and ask every time. No word from PennyMac for months at a time and we kept receiving a loan payoff demand letter which our representative was very vague about. The whole process just reeked of horrible communication.

Required Documents list is not clear, it has a list of documents that are not required. If i have multiple documents to be uploaded, upload status doesn't show all the documents uploaded.

You can't provide enough space in this block for me to list the problems with this refi but it is safe to say that it finally got done, a little late but done. Started in mid May and did not close until Oct 13 with payoffs on Oct 19 and 23rd. I did expect some delay due to work-at-home because of COVID but problems with the closer or underwriter accepting the appraisal that I initiated in May was a major problem in the delay even though PennyMac approved it.
