It was a bit odd to me that the loan amount was $6k higher than the amount due until I asked for the loan amount to be lowered to be closer to the actual amount due. I'm not sure why there needed to be that much tacked on, and it wasn't explained other than that the loan officer liked to leave a 'little bit of buffer'. Yester was excellent. The loan officer was good too, but a little bit cryptic in some of her explanations on financials.
To much to write... Let's just say this refi took like 5 months, maybe more from day of my application. Bad communication & understanding of my individual needs in my opinion. Then the loan amount & details that I approved were later changed and then took even more time to correct because I caught it... Then I had to resubmit info already submitted.... Im getting upset just writing this, I wasn't even taking any $ out... Just a simple refi to lower my rate, Come on! Not recommending PennyMac

My experience was overall great. The only issue is initially I was told 45 days and it took closer to 90 days. Other than that, great experience. Raveena Taylor is the one who clarified the process and the expected timeframe. Specifically my experience with Raveena Taylor, she was on point. Communicated with me effectively and a timely manner.
Everything was smooth and felt easy because the PennyMac staff did the work well, efficiently, and clearly. We are thankful for such a smooth process!
In the middle of my loan process, the processing agent (Julie), was fired/quit. I was in communication limbo for 8 days before I found out my loan had been passed onto Kyle. Even after the loan was given to the new processing agent (Kyle), I had to reach out to him first and he was very difficult to get ahold of. When I finally did get ahold of him, he was very rude and full of excuses. Ultimately I had my account elevated and closed the loan with Chakeeta Adams (the supervisor).
