being that it was my first time refinancing, I chose to do it with the same bank that held my mortgage. at times I felt there was a delay in the communication. and the final cash to close was almost double of what was initially quoted when I started the process, which almost lead me to cancel the entire process. I have mixed feelings about the entire process.
All the reps were super helpful. Patient and talked through each step, stayed in touch and gave me regular updates, even smoothed out a few technical difficulties with e-signing.
I do not like doing business using a central e-mail address and a general phone number rather than having the persons who you are dealing with direct e-mail and a direct line or extension. When I sent an e-mail. I really disliked having to call you general phone number for PennyMac and having to go through the computer system and wait forever (1/2 hr or longer) and then get redirected or put back on hold.
The entire experience was quick and very user friendly.
The refinance process was extremely easy. Spoke to the same 2 people on a consistent basis, which was nice. They kept me well informed and were easy to reach when I needed a question answered. Very painless process! Thanks guys!
