I asked repeatedly the week of closing if anything further was needed numerous times and was told the underwriters had everything they needed. Then 15 minutes prior to the scheduled closing additional documents were requested, via email!! NO PHONE CALL !!.. This delayed the closing by 5 hours. Then trying to call and talk to someone is nearly impossible, no one answer the phone or returns calls from messages, had to continually try to escalate to try and get the matter resolved. Worse experience
My lender had poor communication and often times took more than a day to reach. My loan was not on time, I did not receive final closing numbers until 9pm the night before my closing. The numbers were way higher than estimated. My final numbers increased by almost $500 more a month. I get to the closing table that afternoon and my loan money has not even been released. I sat for 2 hours past my closing time with movers being paid hourly waiting on my to move into my new home.
Huge Failure In Communication! The day we are supposed to close we could not get in touch with anyone that could get us any real information at PennyMac. Getting ghosted from your loan provider on the day of closing was VERY UNPLEASANT! Benjamin failed profusely and should be fired! Our loan ended up having to get directed to Lara Leighton, VP of Retail Operations. She was very pleasant to deal with even with a bit of confusion through automated emails, we were happy with her service provided.
COMMUNICATION. The day of closing, we were notified Title did not have any documents and we would be unable to close. After countless emails and phone calls, we received an email back at 5:30 in the evening. We were able to get into contact with Pia Collins. She was helpful and assured us that she would get in contact with Lara to see how she could help. Two days after our closing we actually closed with no communication from Ben. Our homeowners insurance company also said he was an jerk to her

Where to start. PennyMac is an organization that should have their license revoked by the US Government. They asked me to submit the same documentation 5 times on a refinance of a house that they already serviced the loan for. In addition the documents had incorrect information on them and included the loan officer who quit their company half way through the process. The entire process took 6 months to close and I had to call over 50 times. They make Comcast look good.
Caroly Monson is a great loan officer she is the best quick to respond... I would recommend her thanks Carolyn for all your hard work.🙂🙂🙂🙂
