Smooth transitions and good communication. Loan process is always a bit of a hassle but I’ve done this about four times in my life and this was definitely the best experience
I think this is a season in which the demand for services is very high, logistics are tough, and I understand. The fact we were refinancing a PennyMac loan with PennyMac made the whole process much easier than normal. However, there were long gaps between answers to questions and several emails to both Kami Weber and Bryan DeVore that were not answered. Overall the process was great. If interest rates drop to 1% (crazy!), we'll be back for another round.
Communication, availability, all persons in the process to be in the same page. At times I felt rushed when trying to talk with nikole about asking information and she was hearing my concerns as well as ignored via leaving messages
I made the decision to refinance my existing PennyMac loan with you because I felt the process would be easier than dealing with a new financial institution as well as remaining loyal with my existing provider. Boy did I make a huge mistake!! The entire process was a disaster, I was told mis-truths from the start and trying to reach my loan office was impossible. After pulling out of my first closing due to unknow changes to my disclosure I finally closed 90days after signing my application.

It was very impersonal, without much contact during the process, Unless I initiated it, leaving me to guess whether or not we would even get the loan. At the end of the process, Lauren made contact more frequently and let me know when closing would take place. The process seemed to take longer than normal; however I understand with rates so low that business was heavier than normal.
PennyMac offered the best rates for refinancing, by far. From the time we made our initial inquiry up to the time when we finally closed, the process was made simple and easy. The people we worked with accommodated our crazy work schedule and gave us enough time to gather all the necessary documents needed.
