There are a few things that could have made the process for me better: 1) Receiving accurate info regarding closing costs (my responsibilities), 2) Working with the same processor thought-out the process 3) Receiving accurate info regarding the amount of my loan, this changed several times with no real explanation as to why 4) Working with someone who could better explain how my current loan payments were applied-I was told I'd get a refund after closing. That didn't happen. NOT A PLEASANT EXP

The communication regarding our loan was nonexistent. We had no idea what was going on during the process. We were contact via email to schedule our closing. After we closed, we heard absolutely nothing about what was going on with our loan. Following our closing we were bombarded with emails from someone in the title dept to resign missing docs. Last week we were contact again by a different title company tell us our closing docs had been lost by Pennymac and we need to schedule a resign.

We had a closing scheduled and executed on 2 Sep and were notified 3 weeks later (21 Sep) that our closing did not go as planned and that we had to reschedule our closing prior to 25 Sep. Further, the closing notary did not show at the scheduled time 5 pm but rather after 7:30 pm. Additionally, we never received copies in advance of our final closing.I cannot in good conscience recommend PennyMac as a refinancing option.

All communication was excellent and concise. Very satisfying professional engagement. Can't think of a thing to change. Highly recommended.

Due to the Corona Virus, this process when smoother than I expected. The only physical contact required was signature of the closing documents. The only thing was no one explained what would happen after the closing documents were signed. I was able to contact the person who initiated the refinance and he referred me to the PennyMac customer service and they explained everything for me.
