I don't like to give bad reviews but I like to give feedback to improve client experience. I don't know if COVID-19 affected business or too many people are refinancing fur to lower rates. Nonetheless, the experience was exhausting due to lack or slow response to questions and everything is done last minute. Don't get me wrong the team that was responsible for my closing are wonderful and helpful. I got to to close on time but the process was a slow motion and the underwriting even slower.
I only invest initial 1-2 hours to speak to the loan officer and the rest is almost like auto pilot. The whole process only took abit more than a month and very easy compared to everyone else who also refinanced in 2020.
Process for a VA streamline ReFi was very smooth. Delivered everything as promised. Didn't try to do a bait n switch on rates. Closed a week earlier than expected, which was great.
Marielle Delgado was very helpful and responsive. However I refinanced with Penny mac thinking the process would be streamlined since I was a current customer with a perfect payment history. I don't think it was any simpler. And since I didn't get that benefit, I think I could have gotten better terms elsewhere. I only continued with the Penny mac loan because I already had done much of the work and didn't want to start over. I will go elsewhere in future
Service was great but due to the immense number of closings at the same time, we did not make our first closing date. Second date went well
No issues with the process.
