Very easy process
A new loan officer. Faiza was completely unprofessional. She missed our loan closing, she wouldn't get back to us with new closing disclosure numbers which I repeatedly asked her for. She COULD NOT understand we wanted no escrow at all - and kept saying "Yes I sent them" and nothing changed. After about 3 weeks she finally called me (I could never reach her) and she then thought it was appropriate to yell at me. I wouldn't wish anyone to have to work with her. She couldn't even apologize.
Process was very well explained in detail, no surprises. What I liked the most was close communication every step of the way.
My experience you PennyMac was exceptionally pain. I am recommending PennyMac to everyone I know. Additionally, you don't need a lender, they are your one stop shop! They do it all...😀
The loan officer was very knowledgeable but never once indicated there would be cash needed to close until I was asked to sign the closing disclosure. When I reached out to the loan officer and his assistant for clarification, I received two different responses almost like there was no communication between the two before responding. The whole refinance process took close to two months to complete.
Regular detailed communication including reason for delays and realistic closing dates without having to ask for it would be helpful. We understand this is a busy time and rates are low, but no one wants to feel out of the loop and in the dark about what’s going. 4 months to close including 30 days past our initial date, and 4 rescheduled closing dates is just not ok.
Better communication, and clearer explanations should have be done , i need to speak to a supervisor , the service with my loan officer and ravenna was not well and i still have questions that were not resolved, they replied a week later to my messages , i spoke to my loan officer only once when he said he would call me and never clarified important details on my loan status and my next mortgage payment, very unprofessional
Refinance process much longer than expected. Loan officer Michael was great. Toni was great as well just needs to respond to emails promptly and stop sending canned emails feels very impersonal. Update document section of website, does not work well. Do not include cash to close on website, changes often and causes confusion/concern. Cash to close changed at the last minute, notary almost missed seeing the new docs. Luckily it turned out to be less than expected. Required extreme patience.
Jason Hord was amazing. He delivered unsurpassed customer service and he made the process fun! I love PennyMac and they are lucky to have Jason on their team.
