My loan officer, Donald Lucas was about as good as they get. However, my closing process was frankly, opposite of that. There was a myriad of things that led to that comment. Sort of one thing bleeding and compounding onto the next. Once the managerial sections of the closing process was forced to get involved, things worked themselves out.
Beginning with Stephen I felt like I could get any question answered quicky if not right away. Once he passed me on to the team there were times I felt that I wasnt being kept in the loop. However if I left a message I would get an answer within a few days but usually with an email. Guess I just prefer one on one discussion versus electronic answers. Overall the process completed on schedule and without any problems. Great job Penny Mac.

The whole process was very fast from start to close. The only issue was that the mobile notary was somehow double booked for our appointment time which made our closing much later than was scheduled. Once she arrived the closing documents process went very fast.
I never expected the process to be so easy! My previous experiences were painful compared to the process with PennyMac. I highly recommend them!
Having a competent loan team would have been nice. I sent my insurance paperwork to my loan officer 3 times and it still wasn't reflected properly on the closing documents. Tax payments were incorrect as well. If I hadn't noticed the mistake, we would have been $1800 short on escrow over the next year. My eight year old can listen and do math better.

I will be happy to explain what went wrong for us. The problem was NOT THE AGENTS WE WORKED WITH!!! The problem in communication, delay and frustration was the inadequate computer programs used to send us information during the progress of the loan process. They were confusing, repetitive and at times unable to access because if continued username/code entry requirements. This was rediculous, time consuming, and inadequate to the process of expediting the loan, to no fault of the agents.
