I had a great experience refinancing our home. It was very easy and straight forward. We didn't have any hiccups or unexpected charges/fees. Would recommend PennyMac to anyone trying to buy or refinance their home.
Took too long to close and seemed a bit unorganized in some aspects
I asked that the escrow be refunded to me. Upon final review before the notary I was told that it was not to be refunded and if I did get it refunded I would have to bring the same amount to closing. This effectively increased my loan be over $4k. If I had not been so far into the process I would have canceled.
I waited to re- fi with pennymac because i trust them - my house means everything to me and i didn't want to take a chance at losing it to save a buck!
My refinance process was super quick and painless.
Everything went fine.
The loan structuring and responsiveness of representatives made buying a home less stressful.
Payment after refi did not match what Barbara told me it would be. That was the only disappointing part. She was great , polite, and informative.
