Christine provided excellent customer service. Took the time to explain the entire process in detail. She took the time to answer all of our questions and responded to our emails promptly. Definitely made the process easy. Thank you!
Lori had virtually no advice to provide and was ignorant of the process involved. She clearly took no time to read over the contract or answer questions. Her role could easily be removed as she complicated the exchange with the team (e.g. insurance recorded wrong). I was also disappointed with the big mistakes on Closing Disclosure as well as locked Loan Estimate by Ruben Ruano. If I had not carfefully reviewed and corrected these, the closing would have been delayed and possibly nullified.

Barbara was GREAT to work with. The loan process was quick and I am very pleased with the results.
Outside of the origination of my refinance application, the process thereafter was the worst. I was asked to choose a closing date. That date came and went, and no one realized the process hadn’t moved for over two weeks as I was told the reason was someone forgot to check a box. I chose a second date to find out the morning of that due to the holiday it didn’t allow 3 days in case I changed my mind. This and everything thereafter was unacceptable. I wished my mortgage was never sold to them.
Jessi who helped us initially lock in our rate was excellent at communication and responding to our questions. Our actual closing date was not communicated, phone calls were not returned. We reached back out to Jessie who was able to guide us. We got confirmation of our actual closing an hour before the meeting.
We had to go through the refinancing twice due to the loan officer receiving wrong tax info and not believing us it was incorrect. He told us to research the issue with the title company. The second time was more pleasant. We were told not to make a mortgage payment which caused us to sign the closing documents twice in a week because Pennymac had the paperwork wrong. After closing we received a letter from Pennymac about the missed payment. Basically communication within Pennymac is broken.

The PennyMac team from start to finish kept in constant communication with us. Following up and answered all questions I had for them. There was nothing unexpected that happened they were so on top of it. We are so thankful for the excellent customer service we received. The initial person that took our application really knew what he was doing and Nicholas Batten was so great at the constant communication. I never felt “in the dark” or not knowing what would happen.
