My closing process began on June 6th and I didn’t close until August 26th. However, Kami was helpful towards the end when she took over my loan. Also, my closing amounts varied until my closing dates. I ended up wiring the money early to title agency and still haven’t received the difference.

This loan took over 2 months to close after initially starting the refinance process. Closing was extremely frustrating as I talked to multiple people with penny Mac and no one could give me the same answer twice. Closing were scheduled at my house and no one showed up or called. My title company had to fight tooth and nail just to get a response for my loan. Waste of time refinancing with this company.

Requirements and processes need to be clarified to avoid miscommunication within the PennyMac team. As a customer, it was disheartening to cancel a closing date that we had scheduled around. Other than that, our representative (Mr. George Reid) was very helpful and very professional.

The loan agent struggled to communicate effectively with us. When we called we often got a voicemail and would not receive a phone call back for several hours if at all. Most communication on her end was done after business hours. Several emails were sent near the 8pm hour. We asked questions several times that were left unanswered. We specifically asked for accurate closing documents and only received them at the time we went to sign the papers.

It was a long processed but once all of the documents were processed by the under writer, then the closing process was smooth. The expectation for a quick process was not expected due to the high volume of loans being process but streamline should of taken days instead of months. Overall, it was a great experience and the representatives were all professional in handling the requirements needed to close smoothly. Highly recommended.
