The loan processing agent was not helpful, often antagonistic, did not provide requested information when asked. Closing documents were done improperly by PennyMac multiple times and resulted in significant delay in closing. I had to go through significant effort to contact PennyMac in Order to get the loan closed. I was not reimbursed for the cost of the delay. I was not informed of the cost of the points for the loan. I had to go through customer service multiple times. Terrible.
What would have made my experience better with PennyMac better. COMMUNICATION! During the loan application process I was told I a member of my MacTeam would contact me weekly with a status update, this rarely if ever happened. Frequently a member of the MacTeam would contact me requesting documents that had already been uploaded to the portal. I found my loan processor to be completely unreachable by telephone and he infrequently responded to emails.

From start to finish, process was easy and quick. Loan officer Terrence Smith was very knowledgeable and helpful with our VA refi loan and application process. Website made communication, document requests/submission, reviews, and e-signing super easy. Our rep from the pennymac team, Jazmine Elliot, called weekly and gave Greatly appreciated updates on the status of our loan. Closing was done on time in the comfort of our home. Great job Pennymac!
We had a great experience using PennyMac to refinance our house. Because out mortgage was already with them it took a lot less time than it normally does to finance a home and to close on the loan. Everyone on the refinance team was very responsive helpful. I would recommend PennyMac to everyone.
Jasmine Elliott gave us outstanding support. However confusion by the title company regarding our property tax rate were annoying, especially when we expeditiously provided documents verifying our tax rate. Our VA streamline refinance took 3 months, much longer than we anticipated.
