Hermes is a great guy and you should keep him in customer-facing positions. He was honest on the process backup and very helpful. I would work with Hermes again. PennyMac, however, seems to be a mess. Sure, rona and the low rates caused a perfect storm of lots of customers that were hard to serve. What I don't understand is why my refi (simple, no cash out) had to take so long. You're the lender! You're just changing a rate but you can't get out of your own way. You requested all....

Everyone was pleasant to work with, expectations were clear, and all my questions were answered immediately. By far my favorite experience with refinancing and home loans process.

The time to process the loan was a little excessive but I’m assuming it was because of low rates at this time.
It was a pleasure working with all of the folks at PennyMac. especially Elizabeth.
I liked the constant updates about what was happening and what was expected of me, both in person by phone and on the website.
You hear so many horror stories about refinancing but this process was 100% the opposite. It was quick, Liam and the rest of the MAC team were extremely helpful and kept me in the loop all the way. Great Job!
