The technology used for loan was awesome. The type of loan vehicle made the process low intensity; very few documents required or validation of personal profile info. The lack of communication and the errors on the documents was disturbing and put me in an awkward predicament, specifically at closing. The loan specialist and the loan processor were very professional and knowledgeable, but they made mistakes and I suspect is because they are overwhelmed with an increased volume of work!
He was always straight to the point. Clear quick and easy!
Timothy was a pleasure to work with, he was very helpful. It was other parties that either failed to communicate or failed to execute. My closing was scheduled and the notary never showed up. There was no call or email letting us know it was canceled. When the refinance was initiated I was told it would close in 2-3 weeks. It took 3+ months because you’re team is unorganized and failed to execute anything in a timely manner. Very very very disappointing.
I was told my loan rate was locked in, then I found out it wasnt. Friends are getting a 2.25 percent loan based upon the same scores I have. Very disappointed.
All individuals involved in the process were knowledgeable, and worked with a sense of urgency. Danny was always returning my calls in a short period of time, and was in constant communication with me.
When I called and emailed to ask questions it took days sometimes to get replies. I’d submit documents and then a day or two later they’d call asking me meaning emails and the portal were clearly not checked. They marked my VA loan status wrong causing delays. No one could tell me what home inspections I needed so I ended up paying $500+ in inspections I didn’t need. When it came time to close the funds were delayed in wiring and I had to sit in the closing office and wait hours for the funds.

Merrill Von Bargen was excellent to work with. She was very thorough and I felt she did an outstanding job. Carlton Blood was very difficult to work with. His attitude was poor when I had questions and his knowledge was very insufficient. He made me feel uncomfortable and I would not recommend using him to others.
Closing attorney called the day before closing to say she had not received any documents from Pennymac so she couldn’t close. I called to find out why. Then they sprung some last minute changes of me, saying as we missed the closing date, I had to pay all real estate tax the next day (which was not due for another 3 months). I said I couldn’t and didn’t hear back from them. We finally closed after I emailed the initial the initial processed who helped out.
