From the initial application to closing, the process was very easy, very professional. We had no questions or issues. I was very pleased and surprised at how easy the process was this time around. I'd like to start by saying that my Loan Officer and other employees I spoke with were quite helpful. However, I had a hard time getting responses to questions I sent my Home Loan Specialist. I often sent multiple emails and tried calling, only to reach his voicemail. I was fortunate to get the answers I needed from other employees when I called, and my refi closed on time without major complications. Still, it was disheartening not to get better responsiveness from my Home Loan Specialist.
Andrew Mortensen was great but the whole process was delayed far beyond what I expected, perhaps due to the Corona virus pandemic. I was originally told that closing would occur by mid-June but it did not occur until July 24.
Ammie was incredibly helpful. I believe she went above and beyond her job description. I wish every experience I had telecommuting was as pleasant. I would like to thank her again.
I will advise anyone that is seeking a new loan or a re-finance loan to try PennyMac. They provided me with the best service I have ever received from a loan company-loan broker.
PennyMac is 1st Mortgage holder they already have All my information. I started my refinancing process back in February. I finally closed on July 23. I became a widow 4years ago, I was hoping my new mortgage would be in my name the documents had my poor husbands name on them. After they delayed my process of getting more documents like his death certificate & 6 months of bank statement that he’s not the one making the payment every month. It was very painful & dragged out process.
Kami was very helpful and assisted us in making sure we get great deal.

My original salesperson, Alfred Reams, was misleading. We spent a lot of time together and my expectation of the deal was different than his. I'm not sure I would want anyone else to have a similar experience. The other people that helped on this refinance were good to work with, including Erica Sanchez.
