Started the re-finance process in the middle of April 2020. However, once my refinance moved to the end stages near the closing the communication from Pennymac was EXTREMELY poor. Was only able to get my loan processing agent's voice-mail for majority of this time. Recieved two vague emails about dates and estimated costs to close, but no instructions on the process or what I needed to do. Extremely frustrated throughout this 4 month process.

Refinancing to a lower term was so easy and convenient. The PennyMac team communicated quickly and thoroughly with any questions or concerns each party had. Will definitely recommend PennyMac to anyone!

It's hard to tell how much of the delay was due to Covid. I thought the process would be more seamless since PennyMac was already my loan servicer. I had to email questions b/c the m.a.c. portal wasn't up to date. At some point, I received a letter from my insurance carrier stating that the premium hadn't been paid (via escrow) and then PennyMac advised they were going to purchase insurance b/c of "my failure" to provide proof of insurance. Just more frustrating than I expected.

I AM PLEASED BECAUSE DURING A VERY CHALLENGING TIME EVERYONE WAS DOING THEIR BEST AND WORKING LONG HOURS TO HELP PEOPLE WITH THEIR LOANS. SPECIAL THANKS TO SAVIZ HATAM WHO WAS VERY RESPONSIVE TO MY CONCERNS, TERESA HENRY WHO WORKED INTO THE NIGHT TO PUSH MY LOAN THROUGH AND GET IT CLOSED, AND ROBERT GILLESPIE WHO HELPED MAKE IT HAPPEN. THANKS TO ALL.

Rachel was always very polite and accommodating. She answered all our questions and followed through on everything we asked about, especially with the closing. Our refi process was relatively painless because of Rachel's hard work!
