As a returning customer to PennyMac, I was once again pleased with the personal service and interest the loan originator and processor took in completing my loan package. I also appreciate the support staff that customers don't interact with, but work behind the scenes to provide funding for the home purchase. If you want a "big company" capability with boutique service, PennyMac can deliver.
Gina: she was great!! to work with, always pleasant, willing to answer questions and get details. The issue seem to be around the underwriters and how the information they kept requesting. especially around how school teachers are paid. to many times we were requested to supply the same documents, plus a letter to explain the paying process for a school teacher. which is the normal for at least 90% of the teachers in AZ. they made us feel like they did not know what they were doing.
I think the PennyMac team did a very good job. The closing documents weren't 100% accurate. Every set of documents we saw had different figures on them, but the final closing document figures were good and we were satisfied with the numbers. The guy who the title company had do the closing was blah. One of our neighbors. Wore his mask upside down, complained about mask mandates and made a few latently racist statements. Not sure what to do with that as he is my neighbor.
Both Joseph DeMasi and Eliud Rodriguez were very responsive, knowledgeable, and customer service focused. Both professional individuals represent PennyMac Loan Services, LLC as an extremely reputable financial institution.
The loan team that I worked with was great, and the process was very easy.
PennyMac was great about communicating the process of our refi and making sure everything flowed smoothy and as quick as possible. Thanks!
