From the very start, I felt like PennyMac was watching out for my best interest and trying to provide the best quote and service possible. I ended up going with PennyMac even though we had gotten additional credit from another lender that PennyMac was not able to match. We had absolutely zero issues at closing. Everything went smoothly. Tanairy was great and worked very hard to get everything across the finish line despite some last minute delays by the builder and VA Appraiser. The only thing I would like to see, after going through 2 x mortgages with PennyMac, would be improvement on the Portal Experience. The Portal is a great way to upload documents. However, in previous mortgages, the companies used the portal to also communicate directly back and forth, in a continuous chat stream.
