Great experience. I would recommend PennyMac for a refinance. Everything went very smoothly.
Communication was great with PennyMac. It was not difficult to call and get a hold of a representative anytime I had a question, which was clearly answered. This was my first refinance so there were a lot of questions, but PennyMac made it easy.

We've had a positive experience with PennyMac as our mortgager, so we were really disappointed by the negative experience we had while refinancing. The root of our problem was a lack of consistent communication: calls & emails went unanswered, documents were requested after being submitted, and we spoke to a different representative every time we did have contact. It sounds like a lot of PennyMac's process is driven by difficult computer systems, which create headaches for agents and customers.
The only Associate that was on top of things was the Loan Officer that helped me with the initial paperwork Krystan Keyes Loan Officer (NMLS # 1519388). She was always on top of things and when she had to get back to me she did it expeditiously. Very Professional, Knowledgeable, Helpful and Responsive. Cammorah Washington was the exact opposite. She argued with me in every one of my questions. Even when I explained to her that paperwork was sent and I had a response. Kudos to your Mgr Craig!!
Pennymac has lost its personal touch. I was just a number. Pennymac took on too much business at once. “Too big to feel.” As well as to think. Disappointing. Jane Riley was great and shadowed my progress. Rachel was nice. A “Beth”was good too. But PM made many assumptions about my knowledge of what they meant. It all worked out and PM was pretty generous financially at the end. I’m done. Thanks for asking. Ron Leininger
The process took to long and when I requested updates from Ari'ele Smith I didn't get a response. Then I contacted Tristan Summers, he responded right away. Tristan Summers response was that it will be about 2 weeks, turned out to be more like 1 month and 2 weeks.
