Responding to my emails in a timely manner. Mistakes done by your staff recording my wife's SSN. I was only sent the papers to sign for the SSN . I corrected it on the paper but was not communicated to me what to do. Most messages were sent to me at around 5.30 pm on Fridays. I was not able to get what was expected from me on time. I felt that the staff were not bothered about customers and used the excuse of Covid-19. Should my loan was closed in time I would have saved a lot.

I thought it took to long to close the loan. I understand that COVID made it more challenging. I thought that since I had been a PennyMac customer since 2016, and was doing a simple refi, that it would happen within a couple of weeks. Instead, it took 2 full months. I do appreciate the streamlined ability to upload documents and sign electronically, but I thought doing so would make closing happen faster. Otherwise, 5 stars...

The only issue I had, and why some of this was frustrating, was that any email I sent went to a generic email team instead of the loan officer assigned to my loan. I wouldn't get emails back for a few days. The same goes for phone calls. I would be routed to the first person available, and that person wouldn't be able to help me. One even stated that I would need to speak with the loan officer assigned to the loan... that's what I was trying to do in the first place.

I was a bit nervous about going through this process during COVID-19 with so many businesses modifying processes and working from home. I thought it would affect the loan process. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of attention and professionalism of the staff. Everyone kept me informed and responded to my inquiries promptly. I would definitely recommend PennyMac Loan services to others.
