I was told two different amounts and 2 different percentages. I think they had me and someone else confused. When I asked questions I got emails.
Walter Slater and the PennyMac team did a great job working with me, answered all of my questions and met all of my expectations.
I was very happy that even though we were going through some unprecedented times because of Covid 19 - I was able to get this process completed successfully.
Our appraisal was significantly delayed. Our house appraised for $5000 less than asking. No one told us to show the additional $5000 in our bank account which we could have easily done. Consequently our closing was delayed. No one could tell us why The home we purchased was 2 hours from our home. I had to travel and stay 2 extra days to close. We finally were able to get through to an executive who analyzed the problem. The house was for my daughter as a rental. She needed a hotel also.
PennyMac was sold my original Mortgage when I purchased my home. I decided to give them a chance on the refinancing despite some initial issues with communication and timeliness providing support. But for the refinancing I really received great support and communication. A small scare when I received calm from closing company about delay on the day of closing. But a quick call to MyMACTeam rep and he was able to get it all cleared up corrected and on track for the original closing.
Refinancing was simple and streamlined. Customer Service was great and guided us through each part of the process.
date and time of closing was not communicated well, date originally told that I was closing didn't happen and then I didn't receive the documents until the night before at 8pm and was told then where and what time to show up the next morning for closing. This really isn't acceptable and I had to push for the information all along the way.
Ease of application
Thank you Nick and Mariely from the PennyMac team for taking exceptional care of us. They led us clearly and quickly through the refinance of our house. We are so happy with the result!
