Everything went smoothly except for the approval and closing date. I was notified that final approval was granted, then 3 days later (the day before the closing) the loan officer backpedaled stating that the employment verification was not complete and statements were about to expire which delayed the closing date. I made special scheduling arrangements around the closing and this delay could have easily been prevented had I been properly notified. It's not like something new came up.

The loan officer, Jerold Jackson, told me I would get a closing cost of $2400 with an appraisal of $420,000 but later he told me the closing cost doubled due to the appraisal not coming at $435,000. I feel like I was mislead and by the time the actual closing costs were communicated to me it was too late to back out. Ammie was great and super helpful. I wish that I could have gotten all the information from a single POC though. Having to call 3 different people to get an answer wasn't pleasant.

Beside a few clerical mistakes on our final paper work, we had a easy going experience with Penny Mac. Liem was wonderful and an awesome agent to work with. Highly recommend Liem to others looking for a mortgage!

I decided to use PennyMac for our refinancing because my wife Kris and I were extremely impressed by the servicing of PennyMac who managed our initial mortgage loan from our Builder. DR Horton transferred our initial loan to Fannie Mae and PennyMac [who serviced the loan]. We were extremely happy with the servicing experience of the initial loan, and for our new loan PennyMac staff including our Loan Officer Elizabet and Liem Nguyen, our Home loan Specialist were magnificent! Best Ever!

Tahirah Kelly did an amazing job, never had an issue. She was very prompt in answer questions and taking care my needs. She definitely deserves an A++++. However, I received a letter from PennyMac to refinance my home, called the number several times, no answer. I started this process the first week of March. It’s is now June 10th. I give PennyMac Corp. a C. Sorry, just being honest.
