My experience was seamless and with the Covid19 pandemic I felt the communication and service was excellent. I highly recommend Pennymac and this is my 3rd time using them. They are respectful to veterans also and I felt they worked well with me and made the process stress free.
It was a fast, easy and secure process. Since I was merely refinancing my current PennyMac mortgage, much of the information was already provided....which made in confusing when I was asked to produce documents about a lien on the home (which turned out to be a solar panel lease). But, Zandy remedied the confusion quickly and professionally. The mortgage process was relatively painless. Nicely done, Zandy and PennyMac.

Started my initial loan with PennyMac and did a refinance with them. Had a few concerns in the beginning, but the PennyMac team worked diligently to correct any discrepancies and push through the closing. I'm satisfied with their work.

communication after the loan was pre-approved was beyond poor. As well, knowing where your customer is located would be good. We had a number of calls at 8 or 9pm about our loan because the officer was west coast and we are east coast. This really isn't a good thing for a large company and nobody wants to be talking about their loan at that time of night. In addition, having up-to-date documents at closing is really important. The documents were slow in coming and were inaccurate when we receive
Initially, the process was pleasant. However, trying to get in touch with someone was painful. I understand the remote workforce and challenges that COVID has created, however, their should have been a better plan in place. My closing dates were rescheduled multiple times without communication or notification. Cash to closing changed after confirmation due to date of actual closing date. I was accommodating to all scheduled dates.
