My only reason for choosing just ok was that I was told 3 days before closing that documents proving my employment were needed before continuing process.I am self employed and had to inconvenience some customers in order to fulfill request. I could have gotten requested documents much earlier and with less trouble had I been asked to.
The loan officer made a number of mistakes and caused me great concern. The loan estimates were wrong or off really bad and no one ever returned my calls. I had to call 5 days in a row just to get a person who could help me.
Greg Johnston was a pleasure to work with and the entire team. Process was fast & smooth. He was very responsive as well.

Keeping in constant communication by the staff at Penny Mac. Any question we had, we could call or email and we got an answer straight away. This was a very pleasant experience!
We were asked the same questions over and over. Every time we called we spoke to someone else. there were weeks at a time no one contacted us so we had to check on the status. we were never given the appraisal we paid for. We did get a good rate and the loan went through but we feel the communication was lacking.
