The process was great, easy and accurate. We did not feel like we were stressed during this process. The requests were simple and clear as to what was needed. The responses we received were consistent and accurate.
My experience was a great. The only thing I would say is that it took a bit too long to complete the refinance process. It could have been due to COVID-19, not sure, however, it would have been nice to have been notified. I had to call repeatedly to obtain the status and it was difficult to speak to someone. Once the process was in the final step, everything went smoothly. Thank you.
Requested documents were asked for multiple times. The ability to talk to the assigned loan people was very difficult, when they did call back, the calls were flagged as spam. The website is not user friendly, many times it would lock up. When I did call in to ask questions, many times the follow up response was a generic email that did not address my concerns and questions. Total process took too long, 4 months, and was very frustrating.
PennyMac Loan Services is the best, most trustworthy and stress free lender hands down. From loan application to funding it is professionalism. Client is well informed of every step taken during the course of loan processing. Any document requested is geared towards giving client the best option available to them. They have the best interest rate out there in my opinion. I will surely Recommend PennyMac to family and friends. This is my personal opinion.
I emailed Gwendolyn multiple times regarding questions on the documents that were pending. She didn't reply to my emails (only 1 time) all the other times I ended up calling PennyMac myself and I had to go out of my way and contact my Homeowners Insurance to obtain the Declaration page with the correct amount to finalize my closing. The 1 and only time I ever spoke to Gwendolyn she was a bit rude, sarcastic and seemed as if she was annoyed when answering my questions.
I received 4 different closing documents; each were declared correct and final at the time given. This lead to a last minute adjustment before closing with the notary. A couple of incorrect items on the document were loan amount and closing cost. This process was more stressful than my initial purchase closing process.
Appraisal came out twice, my fees keep going up every week closing cost doubled at signing. Mortgage insurance went from 4 years to 15 years.
