1 - acknowledge and respond to emails; also, respond in a more timely manner. There were several instances where w sent requests and received 0 response. 2 - we requested more than 1x that my wife be the main point of contact, however, Chris received all notifications by cell phone. 3 - we answered the same VA question several times and received emails/calls that indicated our loan may be delayed if we didn't respond. We responded timely each time with 0 response.
Poor communication and response time. No direct contact to anyone had to go through Mac team and email.. no consistency with information and timeline.. 2nd time refinancing with penny Mac and won’t be doing it again.
Tameka Wyatt was awesome. She deserves a raise. I appreciate how informed she kept us through the whole refinance process. Thank you for all your help and the top notch service you provided.
Being able to get back in touch with the same person
PennyMac communicated everything well and effectively.
I had a total of 4 different people working on this. It wasn’t until I reached Linda Harris did everything start to finish off. My loan was in limbo for that last half of closing. I understand the demand at that time and was not upset about the time frame. But was not happy to hear that the reason it was held up was due to a appraisal I had a waiver for from day 1. I’m sure everything would have been better it we weren’t in the covid setting and would have been smoother.
My loan officer, John Wilbanks, was extremely helpful. If it wasn’t for John I would have gone somewhere else. Everyone gave me different information even at closing. I wanted to give you a certified check but several people told me that the money needed to be wired. Someone from the escrow agency called me and informed me that my wired funds were never received. I checked my credit union, and the funds were wired on Monday. Finally, the escrow agency called and told me they found the funds.
The first person with whom I interacted, via e-mail and phone, was Sydney Barnes. She was FANTASTIC. After the first approval I was handed off to the PennyMac team and did not feel nearly as well supported. The last phone call before closing asked for verification of employment, which I thought I had already verified. It made me feel my ReFi was at risk. If I spoke to Ashley Tolliver (the initial name in this survey) it was only once.
The process went smoothly once all information was clarified.
