With online lender, with the distance, COMMUNICATION is the key. I'd hate to be notified at the last minutes or NOT notifed at all. My closing was delayed. I called Martha a copule of times requesting to get a call back, which I never did for 2 days in a row, that I had to call her back. She said she didn't call back, because she had no updates, but regardless of any news, communication is the key to prep wiht my agent and seller. I ended up working with Dennis and he was much better!

I was told several different numbers 2 days before closing. I also requested the documents that showed all the numbers since my refund numbers changed several times. I also did not receive any of the closing documents during closing.

When I first started the loan, with Juan Cruz, it was awesome. Then it got turned over to another team, and it took forever to get back to me. I understand it was a difficult situation working from home, but when it took 1 to 2 days to return my emails was a little frustrating. And they kept asking for the same documents over and over after I sent them . Even my realtor and my home insurance agent was trying to get answers as to what they were asking for and they couldn't get a response.

Consider that Covid sequestering was in effect and communication was marginal at best, everything went smoothly. The loan did not close as expected as the Title Company had missed three pages and held up the close. It has taken several phone calls moving from person to person to set up my payment arrangements and they are still not done as the person I talk to doesn't have the new loan documents, even though I have received notification that the close notice is approved and in my hands.

My refinancing process went very well, and I was pleased with the security measures that were taken to protect my information during my loan approval process during this time of having to work from home. I also appreciated all of the personal assistance and time that was given to put me at ease during the process. Great job!

I began the process in January 13th, it wasn't completed until May 5th. The amount to close was wrong, TWICE. My documents needed to be signed TWICE, because the first notary did not know what he was doing, didn't speak English and wouldn't call anyone with questions. I have two mortgages with PennyMac, this was just a refinance with an additional paydown of principal. I'm not sure what took so long.
