My initial contact with Angel Potts was outstanding. The VA loan rate she got me was fantastic and she was very helpful at the outset. Zandy Valadez also did a great job. I think due to the pandemic things moved very slowly and there was some significant confusion over the flood insurance on my property....multiple times I had to resend documentation from my HOA that my flood insurance was covered by them and not part of my personal property insurance. That was frustrating.
The communication process started out well. Once the loan was approved and moved into the final stages, it took quite a day for each request I needed to make. I had called to speak with the loan officer and talked to one on her team as the authorization for eSign had failed and was informed that only my wife needed to hand sign, ended up I needed to hand sign as well. I also requested that my work number not be the one called and verified the number to call while on the phone, still received
From the beginning of the refinance process the PennyMac team was amazing, they answered all my questions and truly made me feel comfortable and were there for me whenever I needed them. I can be a bit difficult at times, especially when it comes to loan numbers and making sure every number makes sense, but they were very patient with me and for that I am grateful, Thank you!!!

My closing documents were wrong 3 times. The closing process was not clearly explained to me. I had to be on the phone sometimes with PennyMac 2-3 times per day leading up to my closing to make sure everything was actually accurate. My loan officers wouldn’t return my calls when they said that they would.
My electronic experience was great. However, the in-person experiences were not. The appraiser nor the closer wore masks and/or gloves to my home. I would think with a pandemic they would have more regard for me and my family.
