I did not like the fact that I was assigned to 4 different people at each phase without explanation and loan officer made it clear process and moved on from him. Final phase with Mr. Mejia was better.
The communication was great and all my questions were answered.

- I was re-financing my existing mortgage after only 10 months and felt it was unnecessary for me to provide all of the same documentation (multiple times) in such a short period of time. I feel the appraisal was unnecessary and expensive after only 10 months. - The closing disclosure was almost never correct even up to the date of the closing. The rate I was quoted was incorrect, and the amount of money kept in escrow changed several times during closing. - Closing costs very expensive
I recently did a streamlined VA refi with PennyMac and was very satisfied with everyone I dealt with, from inquiring about the process, getting updates, providing thorough explanations, and closing even during this COVID crisis that was conducting in a safe manner. Their closing costs estimates were within a couple hundred dollars of their initial estimate. Would highly recommend their services again, as well as their closing agency Service Link.
