Very helpful throughout loan process. Communicating every step of the way.
Given the extenuating circumstances including the Pandemic and rate environment, the PennyMac team was very pro-active and timely and achieved a < 30 day open-to-close refinance once the process started. Our communications were almost entirely electronic, but went smoothly. We would highly recommend PennyMac.
My home refinance with Pennymac went very smoothly. During this time of Covid-19 , I was concerned that everything would be put on hold, but the Pennymac staff kept the ball rolling and my process was executed in a timely manner. The one hiccup, if any, was just verifying my employment because the entire world is working from home right now. But, after a couple of emails, that too was rectified. I am very pleased with my overall experience.
Some of the information and the closing date changed a few times throughout this process given the current COVID 19 situation. I understand communication and correspondence was not ideal, but there was a few times I did not hear back for a week. Management got involved and corrected everything in a timely manner. Glad to recommend and work with Penny Mac in the future.

Pretty easy refinance.
The fact that we had to reschedule our closing a bunch of times because the loan amount and closing costs kept changing and weren't in line with what was given to us on the closing disclosure was frustrating. Nobody seemed to know what the issue was and when we were told that someone would call us back the next day, we wouldn't hear anything for a few days. Just an annoying experience to say the least.
Keith and Liam were great. We had a couple snags but they worked with us to solve them quickly.
