Professionalism al the time combinen with personal approach.
Customer service by Ammie Mack was wonderful. She was helpful and pleasant. I had a problem with the refi however because when the notary delivered documents to sign the notary had documents that did not reflect the closing disclosures and the new monthly payment. The payment amount was higher. I contacted Pennymac and I was transferred to Mohammed Ahmed and and new forms were drafted and when the second notary arrived the monthly payment was closer to what we had previously discussed.
The follow up with clients after we left messages was poor. I feel that the process was slowed on purpose because it fluctuates monies in favor of Penny Mac. We were told no closing costs and yet we paid some closing. Don’t like the fact that Penny Mac just didn’t pay off the credit line we wrapped up in this loan. Instead they chose to send a large check through mail to us.
I had to ask repeatedly for my interest rate and loan term to be updated correctly on the loan disclosures. Even at the point where I received the final disclosure prior to closing, the numbers were not correct. The first closing agent, Andrew Mortenson, ( I think that last name is correct) got contentious with me over the issue. He pointed out that several of the interim disclosures had the incorrect interest rate and that I had accepted them. This was not true, as I challenged each one.
I emailed a couple of times with questions and didn’t get a response. One was pertaining to a payment that didn’t go through and I ended up paying a late fee because it wasn’t addressed. It was my fault too for not being more persistent in getting my information.
They took care of me all the way. When I had some concerning questions they were always helpful to make me understand what the expenses were and why.
The team was great to work with especially in the times we are going through now ,all questions were answered as needed without delay.I would recommend Penny Mac to my friends

Angey and Kali did a great job from beginning to end. I seriously thought the process was going to be much more difficult and time consuming. They provided clear instructions and were patient with ALL of my questions. Very good experience!
