I didnt get great advice the first attempt at refinancing, which began in Nov 2019 and then the process was abruptly cancelled. Couldve been avoided had there been a little more care in informing me of what was needed by when. Was asked to submit the same docs over and over. The second refinance attempt went better but I had very poor experience with communication beyond the original loan expert. At one point, no one responded to any of my requests of communication/updates for 13 days.

The process from very beginning to closing was stressful. Because PennyMac is such a large company, it was difficult to feel the connection with the people that we worked with. I didn't understand some of the things that I was told at the beginning and felt like I was rushed through decisions with "fast talking". Daniel did this quite a bit. He would fast talk through certain explanations and then seem understanding of my feelings afterwards. Jesse was the middle man that did what he could.

Communication could have been a much much better especially when there is complications in the loan process.

Charles was very helpful to work with and over the phone was able to clearly tell me what was needed and walk me thru the refinancing process. My only issues were when I had emails sent to me asking for things, but I had already submitted. But that was a case that I called and then they saw it, almost like passing each other in the mail type thing
