It was a very smooth process and AJ was awesome. She was always in communication with me of all aspects of the refinance process.
The process was very straight forward and I appreciate the PennyMac reviews current mortgages and offers changes when appropriate.
My original closing was scheduled for Monday (04/06/20) and the mobile notary never showed up within the given timeframe. I had called PennyMac and was informed that "this wasn't done correctly". My closing was rescheduled for Thursday (04/09/20) only to receive an email from the Title Company that the closing costs were different than was stated in my closing email and documents having to take a loss on the original $10 for the cashiers check and having to revisit my bank during a pandemic.

My experience was great from the time i submitted my application with Reid Wright. He was thorough and expedited the application to the next step in a timely manner. The next step was Brittany Claypool. She was always courteous, knowledgeable and communicated any questions I had promptly. Her communication was always clear and accurate. The closing process went exactly the way she explained it would be. Once again clear, precise and prompt.
Just did a botch job.... Your customer service was very poor and your loan officer did a poor and communication between the loan officer and customer was very poor service. There was mass confusion about the closing..I believe that either you didn't have sufficient help or you just didn't care...
I was given the rate matched from other lenders!
The knowledge of the process across all levels were contradicting and slow to react. It took over 75 days to close on a simple 30 year refi. No appraisal or survey needed and never had to send multiple verification more than once. Was only asked for paycheck stubs and bank statements. Still! Took over 75 days to close? I do not blame the processor. The back office and the different departments that work to get the loan closed were at fault. Only onsistency was they continued to drop the ball
